Monument Valley : On October 21 and 22, 2009 I joined a photography group led by Russ Burden to Monument Valley on the Navajo Reservation. We traveled the entire valley under the guidance of Navajo guides who drove us to various locations including a night out on Hunt's Mesa. The trip to the top of the Mesa was a once in a lifetime experience...our guides drove trails which certainly were better meant for horses crossing rock outcroppings and sand dunes. This was a fun experience with an interesting group of people and photographically educational. Instructions....scroll down. The Slideshow feature works great. Mount Evans Wildlife : Mount Evans is home to a herd of Mountain Goats which live well above timberline. This pack of goats live year around at 14,000 ft. I photographed them over three days in August and September. As you see in the pictures they are curious and not intimidated by humans. I was fortunate to meet wildlife photographers who shared their knowledge and experience.

Faces at Taste of Colorado 2009 : Taste of Colordo is an annual event which features food and entertainment on three stages in Denver Civic Center. I went for the first time in years with no expectations other than capuring interesting faces...I was not disappointed. Actually I found the entertainment very good, the crowd friendly and my bratwurst excellent. As you can see each had a good time, in their own way.

Colorado Mountain Wild Flowers : Mountain Wild Flowers are abundant in 2009 with the continuing rain through June. The mountain peaks still hold the most snow I have ever seen at this time of the year while the lower elevations are lush with green. For now, I'll leave the naming of the flowers up to those who view these photos. Enjoy.
